Meet your mentor!

Hi, I'm Amber. I have a decade of professional videography experience, am trained as a creative mentor, and hold a degree in film production.

A bit about me

I’m a Sussex-based videographer drawn to stories with heart, since 2016.

Most of my work centres around purpose-driven projects: charities, community initiatives, and ethical brands working to make a positive impact. I’m interested in the people behind the work - what drives them, what they care about, and the stories that often go unseen.

Alongside this, I also film weddings - approaching them in the same way. Less about staged moments, more about capturing the real, in-between, meaningful ones as they naturally unfold.

Your mentoring journey

An initial 30 mins consultation call.
Free.

Weekly 1-hour mentoring sessions.
£50 each.

An optional monthly retainer.
£100.

We’ll use this time to get to know each other, discuss what you’re hoping to achieve, and identify your key areas of interest for mentoring.

After the call, if we both feel it’s a good fit and that I’m the right mentor for you, you’ll be able to move forward with weekly sessions.

We'll discuss the areas you'd most like support with. This could include, but is not limited to: preparing for an upcoming shoot, reviewing footage you've filmed, receiving feedback on an edit you've created, or gaining guidance and advice tailored to the current stage of your videography journey.

The fee also includes 1–2 follow-up emails between sessions, giving you the opportunity to ask questions or seek further guidance on something you're working on or that we discussed during your previous session.

Once you’re ready to step away from regular 1:1 sessions, you can continue to receive support through a monthly mentoring set fee of £100 (pay-as-you-go).

This includes up to 3 hours of message-based support per month, covering occasional questions, feedback on projects, or guidance when navigating challenges in your videography work.

If you don’t contact me at all during a particular paid month, I’m happy to roll the fee over to a future month so you don’t lose it.

Why weekly?

Weekly sessions are recommended as they help maintain momentum, provide accountability, and encourage consistent progress throughout your videography journey. Regular sessions also allow us to review your work, address challenges as they arise, and build upon previous learning while it is still fresh in your mind.

For those looking for more intensive support, sessions can be increased to twice per week or 2-hour sessions.

Sessions may be booked on a pay-as-you-go basis, or as an initial block of five sessions to help secure my availability and demonstrate your commitment to the learning process.

My mentoring approach

My mentoring style is practical, collaborative, and tailored to you. I focus on real-world application rather than theory, working directly with your footage, edits, and challenges so the learning feels relevant and immediately useful.

I aim to create a supportive space where you can ask questions freely, experiment, and develop your confidence without judgement. Feedback is honest and constructive, with clear direction on what to improve and how to move forward.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, each session is shaped around your current level and goals, helping you build both technical skills and creative confidence while developing your own style as a videographer.

All sessions take place online via video calls. However, if you are local to Brighton, in-person sessions can be offered.
